Kye Conna
Physiotherapist
Bachelor of Sports and Exercise Science UNSW, Master of Physiotherapy USYD
Kye began his Bodyworks journey during his undergraduate placement in Sports and Exercise Management where he fell in love with Physiotherapy and the Bodyworks approach. Kye started at Bodyworks as our Sports and Exercise Therapist providing detailed athletic assessments using our unique Biodex and Activeforce technologies, 1-on-1 personal training, and running our popular BFRT and Shoulder Classes. As an ex semi-professional footballer, Kye understands the physical and psychological demands of athletic performance and uses this to assist athletes back to their peak performance (regardless of whether you are an O45’s weekend warrior or the next Lionel Messi/Sam Kerr).
Inspired by what the team of physios around him could do with manual therapy, Kye completed his Masters of Physiotherapy at Sydney University. Using the unique Bodyworks Model of diagnosis and treatment he now combines “hands-on” therapy for people with all conditions including lower back and neck pain, shoulder pain and sports injuries. He has also been trained in concussion management, a condition he can personally empathise with as a result of his own experience.
Kye isn’t just interested in the “sporty-types” though! He runs our falls prevention classes in Belrose and has a desire to help people of all ages to reach their physical goals and maintain their independence.
In his spare time you will find Kye in the surf, in the gym, or playing Premier League football for Pittwater FC.
Max Evans
Physiotherapist
Bachelor of Physiotherapy – Australian Catholic University
Max is a Physiotherapy graduate from Australian Catholic University , where the
emphasis for evidence-based practice and customised patient treatment made him a great fit for the “Bodyworks Model”, which relies on a thorough assessment of
contributing factors, hands-on therapy to rapidly alleviate pain then focused exercise
therapy to ensure it stays away!
Max’s love for Physiotherapy began at a young age, as a state level long distance
runner he often required physiotherapy to stay in one piece and as such particularly
enjoys treating clients with running injuries and those with a desire to prevent them! He has furthered his education with intensive training in lower limb biomechanics and is skilled at diagnosis of lower limb issues and orthotic prescription for foot alignment correction.
Understanding how the body operates and the mechanics of human movement drew him into the career and since starting at Bodyworks, he has continued to advance his manual therapy skills, under the practice principle, creating great results. With an insatiable desire to keep bettering himself and achieve the best outcomes for you,
Max will guide you back to whatever level of activity you want to achieve. He is
equally comfortable treating elite athletes recover from injury or improve sports
performance as he is treating those clients whose primary goal is to go downstairs or get up from the couch without pain!
As a keen surfer, Max also runs our “Wave Warriors” surfing program, designed to
improve flexibility, strength and balance for surfers. These classes are particularly
good for tradies who bend over tools all day then get back pain in the surf. Max
explains the various loads placed on the body during different phases of surfing
movement and how to best prepare the body to reduce injury risk and MAXimise
board time!

Dr. Cooper Cole
Physiotherapist
Growing up playing elite-level tennis, Cooper experienced the frustration and mental strain that comes with persistent injuries. Being unable to do what he loved shaped his understanding of how deeply injuries can impact both performance and
wellbeing. These challenges inspired him to pursue physiotherapy, with a strong
focus on helping people return to activity confidently while minimising the risk of re-injury.
Cooper combines his experience and knowledge gained from a variety of different
areas such as sports, orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation settings to ensure
every patient receives individualised, patient centric care so every patient gets the
best possible outcomes.
Cooper prides himself on ensuring that not only symptoms are addressed but the
root causes of conditions are found and dealt with, so your pain not only goes away
but stays away. To achieve this, he utilises a combination of effective hands-on
therapies for quick pain relief with tailored exercises specific to each patient’s
individual circumstances.
Cooper’s background playing, coaching and working in a strength and conditioning
role for tennis players makes him our resident tennis and Pickleball expert who is
sure to get you back on court following an injury or improve your performance.
Although he loves getting athletes back performing at their best, he also has a strong interest in healthy aging and believes everyone can improve their function and achieve their goals with a little bit of help. His particular interest in upper body
injuries makes him the perfect physiotherapist to address that nagging elbow or
shoulder pain by providing rapid relief as well as advice to prevent it returning.
Cooper runs a number of exercise classes for the clinic including our “Well-
Balanced” program that is designed to reduce falls risk and promote general strength
and flexibility and our shoulder classes which specifically target upper limb
strengthening. If your shoulders or elbows need their 1000km service, book a
